Where is the conference?

Nicea Conference will be hosted at Grand Cevahir Hotel in Istanbul. 

With a total of 323 rooms and 22 separate meeting halls, the hotel offers a balance of intimacy and modernity ideal for our gathering together.

When should I book my flights?

We recommend booking your flight to Istanbul (IST) between May and August 2025. If you purchased an All-In ticket, our team will contact you to coordinate your travel details and handle everything for you.

Where will I stay? Can I book my own hotel?

Guests with a Classic or All-In ticket will stay at the Grand Cevahir Hotel & Convention Center, where the conference will be held. For Conference-Only attendees, since Istanbul’s population is over twice that of New York City, we strongly recommend booking a hotel or Airbnb near the venue to avoid delays due to traffic.

What dates will I have a hotel room?

For attendees with a Classic or All-In ticket, hotel rooms will be reserved from check-in on the 21st to check-out on the 26th (5 nights), allowing time to arrive the night before the conference and depart the following day. If you'd like to extend your stay in Istanbul, let us know—we're happy to recommend sightseeing options and help customize your hotel arrangements.

Will Conference-Only attendees be responsible for their own transit from and to the airport?

Yes, conference-only attendees will be responsible for arranging their own airport and local transportation.
 

Do Conference-Only attendees have access to meals on-site?

Yes, lunch and conference coffee breaks are included with the Conference-Only Pass. Other meals will need to be covered for Conference-Only ticket holders.

Can I upgrade to a Classic or All-In ticket later?

Yes, you may upgrade to a Classic or All-In ticket, subject to availability. Please contact us for details on how to upgrade.

Do Conference-Only attendees have access to conference books and materials?

Yes, all Conference-Only attendees will receive access to conference books and materials.

Can Conference-Only attendees join the Nicea Excursion?

Yes, the Nicea day trip is included with the Conference-Only Pass.

Are additional meals available for purchase on-site?

Additional meals may be available for purchase on-site. We recommend checking with the venue for specific options.

What are the best options for lodging and transportation for Conference-Only Tickets?

Lodging and transportation are not included for Conference-Only Tickets, we recommend utilizing the airport taxi service or arranging a private driver before arrival.

 

Since Istanbul is over twice the size of New York City and is known for its unpredictable traffic, we highly recommend choosing lodging within walking distance of the conference event location.

Why Istanbul?

We want our conference to show the best of Türkiye’s Bible history. Istanbul is a highly accessible location for pastors around the world. It offers great infrastructure for hosting conferences while still being close enough to Nicea for a day-trip.

What if we would like to see more of Türkiye or Greece?

If you’re looking to tack on a few days in Istanbul we are happy to help with recommendations. If you want to see more of the country, Enjoy Tours is offering a combined ticket that includes a longer tour of Biblical sites that will run before and after the conference.

Are tickets refundable for personal circumstances?

A refund of the ticket price, minus the $250 deposit, is available upon request up to 90 days before the event. Tickets may also be transferred to another attendee by contacting the Nicea team. Additionally, travel insurance is available at checkout, which can cover a variety of unforeseen circumstances.

Are tickets refundable for force majeure?

In the case of global, unforeseen events (e.g., COVID-19) that substantially disrupt global travel, we will attempt to refund ticket prices less any venue/logistical costs incurred.

How will I receive my conference pass?

You'll receive a confirmation email shortly after your purchase, and your conference pass will come through email before the start of the conference.

Can I change the names of registrants?

We are happy to change names/details on registrants for any admission ticket free of charge. This may not be possible for airfare.

Do you offer discounts?

Other than our early bird discount (until March 31) we offer group discounts to groups of 10 or more. When you have a group of 10, just send us a message and we will send you a private discount code for your group.

Do you sell single day passes?

No, we only sell the tickets listed on the main page of our site.

Do you need volunteers?

At this point in time, we are using volunteers based in Türkiye.

Will there be a livestream?

We’re focused on creating an intimate in-person experience for this conference. Hence, no livestream. We will, however, record select sessions for future viewing.

How’s the weather in Istanbul in October?

Likely highs in the mid-60s and lows in the 50s overnight. Bring light layers for rain, just in case.
